I've spent 20+ years building software that factories bet on: production test systems for safety-critical industrial controllers (SIL 3), firmware programming infrastructure, and manufacturing data pipelines. For the past decade-plus I've been the technical owner of production test software at a global industrial automation company, where I also lead OT cybersecurity compliance (IEC 62443) for new product introduction.

That last part is why PLCDocGen works the way it does. I've written the security standards side of this industry — I know exactly why your IT department, your NDA, and your own judgment say plant code doesn't go to the cloud. So the tool doesn't ask it to. One .exe, fully offline, nothing transmitted, ever.

I built PLCDocGen because documentation handover was the most tedious part of every project I've touched, and because a controls engineer's Thursday is worth more than copy-pasting tag tables into Word.
